In ‘Featured’ we’ll have a special person, organization or place every once in a while.

One of the websites I have been reading DAILY for the past year or so is War History Online. This site certainly is not about aviation or classical aviation even, but in their very extensive line of subjects on World War 2 topics their is often something interesting for old aircraft lovers too.
And WW2 is one of my ‘other’ hobbies, so there. I think they deserve an honorable mention in my AVClassic list of interesting sites !

One of my all-time favorites was listed here for some years already, the Goodwood Revival event. But recently I found a wonderful 1 HOUR YouTube video of another one of my main favorites: the Shuttleworth Collection at the Old Warden airfield, not far from Duxford. Like Kermit Weeks’ aircraft at the Fantasy of Flight in Florida, the Shuttleworth aircraft are not only museum and collectors items, they ALSO FLY regularly.

Just sit back and enjoy the video !

Goodwood Revival 20xx

As always the ‘Revival’ at the Goodwood Estate in the south of England promises to be a splendid event.

Racing and showing vintage and classic cars, in an entirely vintage setting, is unique in the world.

Unfortunately yours truly can’t attend this year, due to a trip over to the US,

but if YOU have a chance to attend, then do NOT miss it!
